The Labour Day Party was a few days after we returned and Randy stepped up to help with the cookin’ with Sherry’s good instructions and recipe for Low Country Boil.
There was a movie being made, with Ben Afleck directing and starring in it. A few of the boaters saw him and had pictures taken. The buildings along Newcastle Street had new facades on them to look like a town in Florida during prohibition with lots of Spanish signs. The first Friday of every month in historic downtown Brunswick the stores and merchants have specials, musicians play in the parks and lots of people show up; they call it First Friday. With all the extra people building the movie set and all the boaters (more arriving everyday) it was a very happening First Friday.
The supermoon coinciding with some heavy rain falls made the tides very extreme.
