With the deadline to be out of The States hanging over our heads, we left John, Marcia, Karen and Denis in Cape Canaveral. They were planing an overnight to Fort Lauderdale and we wanted to make a shorter trip to Lake Worth. Yeah, yeah, I’m a wussy, I avoid overnights if I can. The plan was to just anchor inside the inlet and head out the next day. But when we arrived we passed a marina that looked ok and nice and close to the ocean. So, we hailed them and they had room. As it turned out this was a good decision as the weather kicked up for a few days. We were able to do some provisioning as it looked like we would have to make the jump to The Bahamas.
Stars shone and the seas were relatively calm as we crossed the Gulf Stream to The Bahamas. We were aiming for West End, Grand Bahamas and we’re having such a nice ride we went past it to Lucaya instead. Where we caught up withJohn and Marcia on Remora. We decided to wait for weather and have Courtney fly in to visit! Yay!
Laura,Andy, Natalie and Alexa, on Sandy feet invited us to go on their catamaran to snorkle at the little Island Park.
