Allen’s Cay and Norman’s Cay

Over the next few days, I’ll be trying to get the blog caught up to date. This one is from early in January 2016.

Clear sunny sky’s and calm seas all the way to Allen’s Cay. We anchored and got the dinghy in the water so we could feed the Iguanas on Leaf Cay. The come running out to greet all arrivals.

The next day we sailed a few miles to Norman’s Cay. It has three anchorages. The first night we stayed on the west side that offers great protection when the winds are from the east.

McDuffs has been around for many year. They’re under new management and it has gotten quite fancy judging from old pictures and stories we’ve read. But the Hamburgers are delicious!!

the wind was clocking west and our anchorage was getting rolly so we moved to the anchorage amongst several island but still just east of Norman’s.  It was crowded but much less rolly.

The third anchorage is in Norman’s Pond. We would never be able to get in – the enterence is only 5 ft deep at high tide. Our friendson Sandy Feet were in there though. We dinghied over to say hellowhat but they were out. We did snorkle a bit and walked the shore.
